Through leadership training, civic engagement, student organizations and fraternity and sorority life, our office gives you the tools and resources that empower you to become engaged on campus.

SEAL supports over 100 student organizations on campus, ranging from professional organizations to dance troupes to media production. There's something for everyone! You can find all active student organizations here.

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association (SGA) was formed to establish an effective student government; represent student interests; establish and facilitate all student organizations; act as a liaison between the student body, the administration, and the Board of Trustees; and promote and protect the rights of the students. In coordination with the Office of the Vice President and Dean of Campus Life, the SGA allocates and monitors funds to student organizations and represents student voice on various boards and committees.

SGA Student Assembly Meetings: Weekly in Walker 417 on Fridays from 12pm to 2pm. These meetings are open to everyone regardless if you hold an SGA position or not.

Emerson Mane Events

Emerson Mane Events (EME) is a team of students who develop and organize events and activities on campus that celebrate the diversity of our community, promote student involvement, and foster collaboration among student organizations. EME has been recognized with an ERA Award in 2016 for their commitment to programming for the Emerson student community.

Members gain hands-on experience in all aspects of event planning, including booking, promoting, and management.

172 Tremont is where collaboration meets community. It is a destination where Emersonians come together for work and play, to share moments that contribute to the collective Emerson experience, and to be themselves. 172 Tremont provides a number of expanded amenities, meeting and social spaces for students, organizations, and departments to utilize and to better accommodate the changing needs of our community.

Student Performance Center

The Student Performance Center (SPC), located on the Lower Level of the Little Building at 80 Boylston Street, is the largest student event and production facility on campus. Featuring two primary venues, the Judee Wales Watson Theater (formerly the SPC Theatre) and the SPC Black Box, as well as two studios, three rehearsal rooms, a production space, and a large social lobby, the Student Performance Center is the premier location for student events.
